Alliance Fund

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Straight (LGBT&S) Alliance Fund is a special project of the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona (CFSA), created in 1999 in partnership with the National
Lesbian and Gay Community Funding Partnership. The Alliance Fund addresses thechronic pattern of underfunding of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender programs and supports efforts to address these issues through philanthropy and endowment building.

Crossroads Collaborative

The Crossroads Collaborative includes University of Arizona (UA) faculty and students and two youth-oriented community partners, Gay-Straight Alliance Network and YWCA Tucson. The collaborative is dedicated to advancing research, graduate training, public conversation, and ultimately social change in the area of youth, sexuality, health, and rights.

Derechos Humanos

Coalición de Derechos Humanos (“The Human Rights Coalition”) is a grassroots organization which promotes respectfor human/civil rights and fights the militarization of the Southern Border region, discrimination, and human rights abuses by federal, state, and local law enforcement officials affecting U.S. and non-U.S. citizens alike.

The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity/expression.

LGBTQ Behavioral Health Coalition of Southern Arizona

The LGBTQ Behavioral Health Coalition of Southern Arizona provides beginning and advanced training sessions on topics related to the LGBTQ population and the provision of health care services. Several standard trainings have been developed (see below), but these workshops can be customized to meet your organization’s needs. LGBQ 101 -Introduction to LGBQ: Definitions, Understanding Heterosexism and Homophobia. LGBQ 201 -Somewhere Over the Rainbow: Therapeutic Assessment and Intervention
for the LGBTQ Population. Trans 101 – The Brave New World of Gender: A Media Exploration of Gender Variance. Trans 201 – Pathways to Understanding: Clinical Guidelines for working with Transgender People.

Open Inn

Open Inn’s mission is to empower children, youth and families to experience and develop positive self-worth. This is accomplished through a comprehensive array of services and activities designed to support young people as they transition from homelessness to self-sufficient adulthood.

Our Family Services

Our Family Services helps runaway and homeless youth come off the streets. We promote civility and peace by helping people talk to each other. We help some of Tucson’s highest-risk children learn to read. We help troubled families cope with addiction and find healing. We help people learn to be better parents, improve their lives and their relationships, and build stronger families. We help older and disabled people live safely and with dignity in their own homes.

Tucson chapter of PFLAG: Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays. Provides: Support, to cope with an adverse society; Education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and Advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights.


Pima County Attorney’s Office Victim Services

The Victim Services Division assists victims at crime scenes and at court hearings,
providing support for crime victims and guiding them through the criminal justice system


Pima County Domestic Violence Task Force

Under the leadership of the County Attorney’s Office, the Pima County Domestic Violence Prevention Task Force meets quarterly to address issues related to the prevention, reporting, investigation, prosecution, intervention, and treatment of domestic violence. The Task Force is comprised of representatives from local service agencies, law enforcement agencies, the Adult Probation Department, the Pima County
Attorney’s Office, and the Tucson City Attorney’s Office.


Rainbow Interfaith Coalition

We are a group of Tucson interfaith communities united in reaching out to and affirming lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people. Our purpose is to provide broad and diverse spiritual choices in a non-political and non-partisan manner to LGBT individuals in their search for spiritual fulfillment. We affirm LGBT people by accepting their sexuality and not seeking to change it and strive to overcome the
alienation created by past religious condemnation and rejection.

Southern Arizona Aids Foundation (SAAF)

Care services, prevention education and outreach to the people of Southern Arizona living with, affected by, or at risk for HIV and AIDS.


At the Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault (SACASA) it is our mission to reduce the trauma and incidence of sexual assault by providing treatment and promoting prevention of sexual abuse, incest, molestation and rape. YWCA of Tucson – Nuestra Voz and Racial Justice Institute

Nuestra Voz | Our Voice is a program that works with youth from 13 to 24 years old to bring awareness of youth voice in Arizona. Racial Justice Institute:
